Debut Album Available Starting April 10th

Hey y'all I hope you have been well to start the year. It has been a busy time for me with multiple releases over the last two months in preparation of my debut album “Made For Cruising” which will be available on all streaming platforms starting April 10th. It has been an incredible journey practicing guitar since late 2024, performing at open mic events last year, and ultimately refining my sound to the point of producing a full length album. Made For Cruising will feature nine songs that were entirely self written, produced, and performed by me. I feel like this project is near and dear to my heart and it nostalgically tells a story about life through my lens!

The first single I released for this project was “Box Chevy” which debuted in February, just a day after my birthday. That track got some stellar feedback from multiple outlets such as Wav.Max stating that the track "successfully blends elements of R&B and modern hip-hop by Silky, showcasing his ability to transition smoothly between melodic singing and confident rap delivery." Bops Blog wrote that my performance on Box Chevy provided the track “both an irresistible groove and a fuck load of personality.” Illustrate Magazine wrote that the song was pure “Florida bass nostalgia filtered through a stripped-down trap lens, and it hits like a sub rattling in the trunk.” And last but not least, Dulaxi wrote that the “track’s lyrical content reflects a blend of reminiscence and aspiration, capturing moments from growing up in Miami and the allure of cars as symbols of freedom and achievement.”

That last point really hit home the story that I want to convey with this project. I am and always have been a car guy, through and through. From a young age, the allure of chasing my dream car spurred me on in all facets of life, but the cars I've owned, the experiences they have provided me, and the people I met along the way have always been at the heart of it all. Ultimately, each song has a car theme but that is merely the backdrop of the stories and experiences I've lived. With that in mind, the most recent single from the project was a personal one: “740.”

For the past six years I have owned and driven my late grandmother's Volvo 740 which was handed down to me after being in the family since before I was even born. If that car could speak, the stories it would tell would be incredible! From car rides with my grandma as a boy growing up in Miami to packing up all of my possessions and moving my wife and I across the country, that car has been a constant in my life and I really tried to capture that nostalgic vibe in the song. Life might not always be smooth sailing, but I know for a fact that if I'm in the 740, I'm cruising!

I appreciate your support reading this far and can't wait to share Made For Cruising with you in a little over a week from now. I've put all of myself into the album and hope that you can get some enjoyment from the songs and stories that they tell.

Thank you and be blessed!
