Hey y'all, I just want to say thank you for supporting me and vibing with my music. It has been almost three weeks since I released my most recent single, Lady, to all streaming platforms and the response has been absolutely amazing. To date the song has become my most streamed track with over 300 streams across platforms and several prominent playlist adds. It is a blessing that the little song I recorded in my bedroom as an ode to my wife could take on such a life and the moment of reflection is not lost on me.
Lady has had a few features by some amazing publications as well.
Illustrate Magazine proclaimed “Silky Vibe’s voice floats dreamily above the groove, painting vivid pictures of the woman who keeps him grounded, lifted, and in love — someone whose presence feels like home and euphoria at once.”
Zillions Magazine compared the production and vocal arrangement to a “candlelight in sound form: warm, moody, effortlessly romantic.”
Honk Magazine published that the song is “filled with deep emotion, featuring smooth vocals that evoke legends like D’Angelo and Michael Jackson.” To hear this as someone who's favorite album of all time is D'Angelo's Voodoo and goes bar for bar with tracks from Off the Wall all the way to Invincible, this review truly made my day.
Last, but not least, Music Arena GH stated that sonically the song is “a gentle brew of neo-soul warmth with those indie currents flickering through.”
Seeing these words written and getting to perform the song live at the Victory Black Box Theater in Fort Lauderdale in front of a crowd has been such an amazing ride and I'm thankful for the blessing to do what I love and put my words and experiences out there for others who might feel the same.
