Victory Black Box Theater Open Mic

Hey y'all, just getting settled after a great night at the YMCA Victory Black Box Theater Open Mic night and it was a blast. I appreciate those who were able to make it and for all the support on stage from family, friends, and other artists.

This was the first open mic I have performed at in 10 (!!!) years so it was a little anxiety inducing. Not knowing what the crowd would be like, playing unreleased music that I've never shared before, and being a new guitar player was nerve racking. But once you get on that stage, the only thing to do is to do it and as a good friend told me before, “everyone is there to support you, so have fun.”

I performed Sweet Tooth from my upcoming EP, Paradise, which you can pre-save here and will be available on 4/18. It's one of my favorite tracks I recorded during this process with some guitar delay and a drum driven chorus so I hope you can get a chance to listen. After that, I played a cover of one of my favorite Adele songs of all time: Crazy For You from her first album, 19. It felt fitting to play an early Adele song along with one of my first songs as she is one of my favorite artists of all time. Anyway, thanks for reading this far and I can't wait to share all the songs from Paradise on 4/18.
